I grew up on a farm at the city limits of Omaha, Nebraska, where we raised horses, cattle and hogs.  After graduating from the University of Nebraska, I began a banking career.  In 1978, I decided I wanted to be “my own boss” and moved into the real estate industry.  My clients and financial background soon lead me to focus on commercial real estate sales and development.  In 1980, we moved to Colorado, where I began to work with clients who worked in the city but who’s hearts were in the country.  Those of us who were raised in the country understand the lasting, deep connection to the land. 

In 1989 I was asked to create the largest residential golf course development PUD in the State of Nebraska.  Creating The Ridges, Shadow Ridge Golf Club and Spring Ridge has been a source of beauty, joy and pride.  We were the first in the state to incorporate bronze art throughout the development.  The beauty of this art welcomes each resident as they walk and drive through their neighborhoods. 

After moving to our ranch in Livermore, Colorado in 1997, the majority of my time has been spent managing the ranch and our livestock.  We raise foundation-bred quarter horses of the Hancock, Blue Valentine and Driftwood lines.
